1.8 Endura 90Bhp Vs 1.6 Tdci 90 Bhp

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have a MK3 Fiesta which has fitted in it a Mondeo's Endura DE engine that produces 90 bhp from what I have read. I boosted this engine to 20 psi so I can roughly say I got nearly a 100 bhp? I don't know I never dyno'd it.

Now I am thinking of upgrading a bit and get a new fiesta (MK7) hopefully with a 1.6 TDCI engine (90bhp) and I want to know how this engine compares with my endura in speed, torque and economy. I am thinking of remapping the 1.6 tdci too so does it making remarkably better than the endura?

I know that figures shows that the tdci is superior but when I did an acceleration test, 0-100 I made it in 9 seconds which is faster than accelerating with a tdci.
