    Ring Ford Direct and explain your experience to them, quote names. My local dealers were reluctant at first to honour the bulletin, passing me from pillar to post. After speaking to Ford Direct the dealership spoke to me again, after being heavily chastised by the Direct team. But then if I was you in that instance, and had a appointment booked, I would have called Ford Direct there and then, and enjoyed watching the sales rep getting his !Removed! handed to him.

    It doesn't appear in this instance to be new staff not knowing policy.

    In this case the salesman didn't see a profit or a sale for him so just biffed it.

    Unless all his fingers were broken (may still happen? ) he had no excuse for not making a simple phone call.
