So, I cant stand the spacesavers.... So I did something about it!

I had a friend who gave me a full size 16" alloy, its buckled but perfectly good for a spare, and at least I can travel a few hundred miles on it legally, as opposed to having to pull off at the next junction, call recovery and avoid getting points and a fine....

So I bought a decent part worn tyre for £30 with about 4mm of tread on it, and put it in the car, but of course, the well is only the right size for the spacesaver, so I no longer had a flat boot space. The answer - was to build a false floor and storage space. Now, whilst its not necessarily pretty underneath, it works perfectly, does a fantastic job and I think it works well.

So, it cost me about £20 for parts, and I still have plenty left over, but heres the results....

So what do you guys think?

I have tidied the underside a little but the boot is now back to full useable capacity as opposed to having half ot it used for storage...

    Thanks matey and yeah that's the kind of thing I was looking to achieve. Ok the carpet dimensions are slightly off now but 98 percent of the floor is covered so it's done the job lol
