Ford Fiest Ecoboost Upgraded - Need Help

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have down some upgrades on my Ford Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0 (125 PS) and the results what I got is quite unexpected and not satifactory.

Firstly, the modifications that I made was:

  • Install K&N Panel Air Filter;
  • Install Downpipe (57 mm if I remember correctly);
  • ECU remap.

Unfortunately I do not have a before Dyno run but I dont think that it would be relavent anyways to me problem I am experiencing. Attached are images of the dyno results.

To summerize:

I got a maximum torque reading of 251 N.m @ 3000 RPM with max power reading of 92 kW @ 3000 RPM aswell. Both these figures are on the flywheel. 92 kW seems extremely low but I believe this is a symtom of something else being wrong especially concidering that it is at 3000 RPM? I find this extremely strange that my max torque and power are going hand in hand. This is now causing the car to feel extremely powerfull up until 4000 RPM and right beyond this point the car feels weak. It feels that something is not set right in the remap or something? Does anyone know what the cause of this could be and what I could possible do to resolve this. I have never seen a case where torque and power reading peak at the same points like that.

Thank you very much!
