Battery Removal On Focus Mk 2

Featured Replies

How do you remove the bar holding battery left bolt easy right bolt seems to be buried in plastic?

Think from the parts diagram the right hand side of the bracket just un-hooks from the battery box if you lift the left side up first? it only shows 1 nut, on the left side.

Left and right in this case taken as looking into the engine bay from the front of the car.

down the side is an 8mm nut you need a deep socket and ratchet to get it off. It's tricky first time but is easy.

Thought it was something like that but consulted the parts diagrams instead of trusting my failing memory

I share your pain lol

Its nice and easy but can be well hidden under dirt
