Found a fundamental flaw with the Nissan today....

...The horn sounds like !Removed! pee wee herman ...

It's embarrassing.. nearly let a lady just switch lanes and drive straight into me today just because of the !Removed! horn.. when I finally did 'blast' the horn, and issued a few expletives, I felt that I could hardly gesture anything or say anything when armed with a such a pathetic horn...

I'm wondering if it's warming up or something.. I mean the thing only had 5 miles on the clock, perhaps I'm the first person to hoot the horn... maybe it needs another 10-20 blasts then it'll get a raw throat and start belching out something mean! The car LOOKS pretty mean, it's chunky, got a nice front end, surely nissan feels it deserves something a bit better than what it's got!

Doubt it, most horns these days are not great. Even my mondeo has lost its low tone. The same with the ceed though, was a great car, but the horn sounded more like a 'pardon me good sir' than 'you farklord pillark'

My personal Focus sounds like "RAMMING SPEED".

The ST's horn doesn't matter too much, I let the sirens do the talking for me :p

There was a study done a few years ago. The aim was to determine the most stressful horn sound

The winner: Fiat Punto :p

The least stressful: V***hall Zafira.

Although the Astra came in a close 2nd to the little Italian Pit Pony

Na! You need one of these! B)

 define 'beep'

....the horn of this is somewhere between a high pitched personal alarm and an old bicycle born...

Listen for that and you'll probably find a raging me on the end of it... I don't think I'd rage so much if not for the fact I'm terrified of getting a ding on a brand new car!!!

.... And that driving at 15mph in a 30 zone is; in my opinion, completely unreasonable!!!!

Ian will be the one leaning out of the window of a Nissan screaming 'GET THE F### OUT OF MY WAY' :P

Not a particularly ecstatic bunny... Dropped the Nissan off and did a quick walk around my car, looked shiny as anything, they did a great job... Until I get to the rear end.. Which was problem free when I dropped it off... I see this post-30230-141910115468_thumb.jpg

Peeling lacquer... I told them I wasn't too happy about that, but as they were closing the guy said he'd have to talk to his manager and then they'd call me on Monday... Getting home I did another quick check:

More peeling on the rear bumper....

Anyway I thought... That's all being processed (I'll await their decision), lets have a good old look at the nice shiny nose, lift the bonnet (well, actually have a grumble about the flip badge which doesn't flip as comfortably as the old one) and see this on the lip of the bonnet post-30230-141910134621_thumb.jpg peeling paint...

So all in all, I'm not massively impressed... If I wanted the car to be shiny but ****** up, I'd have gone to the nearest sainsburys car park and asked the lads that clean every car top to bottom with the same sponge to clean mine, I expected the workmanship to be a bit better on a body shop...

I'll keep y'all posted..
