Mk3 Tdci Mondeo Egr Pipe

Featured Replies

Hello

I have a problem with the pipe that goes into the egr in that it keeps popping out and the exhaust gases are coating the engine bay in soot, i have tried pushing it back in but it just pops back out again as soon as i rev the engine! i have looked and can't see how this pipe is retained in the egr unit!! am i missing something?

Any answers greatly appreciated as i have the mot coming up next week!!

Chris

The pipe from the exhaust should be bolted on surely? Any egr valves I have looked at or worked on have been like this certainly never seen them just pushed in

hi, thanks for the reply, on the end of the pipe there seems to be smooth, no lip or flange that could help it being held in place! there is a metal plate bolted on the egr where the pipe fits in but it looks like there is nothing to connect the two together!
