Window Problems

Featured Replies

For the first time yesterday my alarm went off on my 2010 60 plate Galaxy. Zetec. On inspection I found that the drivers side of the car the windows had dropped fully. Passenger side of the car was fine. It was a frosty morning and the car was all iced over.

I would like to know if anyone else has had this or knows why it done it. Apart from this the car is in perfect condition physically and mechanically.

I can remember my mates dad's galaxy, R reg it might have been. It had exactly this issue. It was because of water getting into the ecu from a blocked drain on the scuttle panel or something like that.

I would hope ford have sorted the issue out by now but you never know.

It might be worth checking around the ecu for water of dampness.

Thanks I will check it out. It hasn't happened since. I am putting it down to the freezing temperatures at this stage I guess I will have to sit and wait for the next freeze which won't be long I'm sure.

i would think it might be worth having a look at the alarm module, iirc its under the passenger front wheel arch,

the mk1 problem steff is on about wouldve been the rear washer pipe that runs under the front passenger carpet which just happens to have a join in it directly above the ecu/alarm/central locking module which is under the passenger front seat.the mk2 galaxy it was moved up under the dash board.
