I hate to say it but I think those Fins look abit like a ladys hair band? The annoying metal ones that seem to be the chosen weapon of choice of my younger sister..

Hate to be harsh, but you said it IS an ST. You may have made an ST replica but that doesn't make it an ST

No need to get touchy, but it still doesn't say ST on the logbook. It's a fantastic looking, modified mk4. I have to say, I like it

Ford missed a trick by not badging the MK4 / 4.5 Mondeo TXS as a ST i.m.o. as my MK 4.5 TXS is so much more than my Mondeo ST TDCi was - & that was a great drivers car.

Some stupendous bit of subtle mods done buddy (clap, clap, clap) wish I was half as skilled as you then I would have attempted similar things with mine.

I was thinking of changing all the interior lighting to clear white. Where can I buy these from and are they easy to install?

Also I have a standard Sony system installed on mine. Can I change it to a sat nav version you have? Or would it cause an issue because my heating buttons are different to the ones on yours.

Not being harsh but dude if that really is your version of an ST mk4 mondeo then it's not a good attempt really. Let's be honest, all you've done is spray your factory standard grills etc in gloss black and fitted an aftermarket splitter to the factory bumper.There is nothing ST about it. It's basically a standard mondeo mk4 with the grills sprayed black. No sports tuning about it, no body kit, no beasty engine or twin exhaust. Might look better when you fit the rear lip and side skirts.

The TXS on the other hand actually is basically what would have and should have been called the ST. But they didn't call it the the ST, so I will not put an ST badge on it, because it is not an ST

On Sunday I finally got round to repairing the front end damage caused to my poor TXS by an airborne plank of wood months ago.

I also had the bloke that sprayed the new bumper spray the fog surrounds and grills in gloss black while he was at it, as well as colour coded the brows panther black to match the rest of the car. Massive improvement and really happy to be rid of the gaffa tape.

It's just unfortunate it has rained all day so I've not been able to clean the old beast and these are the best photos I could manage for now.

As soon as the weather brightens up I'll give him a full valet
