    i take it your car is a mk3?

    looking at pic 4 it looks fairly similar to my smax 1s,but with the smax they screw into cutouts on the roof strips.

    iirc dont the mk3's have a rail system like on the mk2?

    so maybe there for the cross bar sliding system?

    or just a thought there not for clamping cycles are they?

    Thanks for your reply but no defo not cycle clamps as they fit on ends of cross bar.

    Don't think they fit in cutouts either.

    Looks like they clamp to a rail though.

    Very complicated set up.

    Nothing like my Galaxy rack fittings.

    They are to go on the rails so that they can be locked to the car, prevents light fingered toe rags from pinching the roof rack, especially if you have a roof box fitted to it
