Factory Xenon Bulb Replacement Help

Featured Replies

I'm looking to upgrade the xenon d1s's in my mondeo titanium x sports headlights and everything I read says to get someone qualified to change the bulbs as there is a risk of electric shock

is it not something i can just do myself?

Advise would be appreciated

Thanks

I believe you can get rather high voltages stored in the ballast units or similar, which could give you more than just a tickle if you were to get your fingers in the wrong place.

Any better detail of how you work round this on google etc? little voice says you maybe have to leave lamp powered down for certain amount of time or turn ignition off with lamps still on so they use up any left over charge/voltage left over.

Have wondered about upgrading the HIDs in my Focus but not got very far with it yet.
