Hi guys and gals, im new on here and looking for some help.

I've looked around and I can't find any clear guide on where to add the wires to?

If your Focus has wiring in place for footwell lighting you could tap into that for your treadplates?

That way you'd already have feeds available on both sides of the car to cut down on having to route cables all over the place, and the footwell lighting works same as the courtesy lights (at least it does on my mk2.5)

I don't have them but I might stick some in to match the sills at a later date. I've been reading about tapping into the wires that go from the interior (dome light ) down the a-pillar on the drivers side, not sure which colour wire though. On my sills I've got 2 wires coming off which I'm guessing is live and earth

brown with green line, earth black with white line, should find them behind one or more of the a pillar trims.

Thanks Ian. I found the 2 wires and tried them but that only made them permanently on. I tried the live wire connected and the other wire connected to every other wire there but got nothing? Any ideas?
