starting problem

had a bit trouble starting my fiesta today i was at a shop listening to the radio and when i came to start my car all i got was a tic tic noise so i had to bump start it to get it to work what could the problem be it was running fine then it just went some ppl said its the battery and starter motor ive replaced the battery but i cant find where the starter motor is its a 1996 fiesta

the 'tic tic' you heard was the starter motor solenoid, the battery obviously wasnt able to supply enough power to turn the starter.

You will probably find that there is nothing wrong with your starter motor or battery. If you left the ignition on and the radio, or even just the radio for a short time, this can be enough to drain the battery and as stef123 explained was unable to power the starter motor. After you bumped it the alternator would have charged your battery back up after a good half hour or so of driving.
