Hi ppl,

I have just bought a n ew Ford Fiesta reg. 57. However I was concerned if it is classified as a MK6 or MK7. Its a 1.4 Zetec. Can somebody help me pls.

    Go to the gallery section on here and you can see what the Mk 7 looks like - not sure that the Mk 7 was out when yours was originally registered though so more than likely a Mk 6

    I'm pretty sure it won't be a mk7 if it's a 57 plate.

    There is some confusion over the numbering of the mks, the mk6 was facelifted and this is sometimes called the mk6.5 or the mk7.

    The easiest difference to spot for me are the wing mirrors.

    The mk7 is the car you can see in mine and Paul's avatars.

    An MK7 Fiesta will be a 58 reg onwards. There may be some 58 reg MK6.5's going around which would of been sold cheap to remove old stock.
