Battery Light

Featured Replies

I have a 1.8 tddi focus and the battery light came on so took it to garage and had a new alternator and battery cost £200 ish, then had another problem which Ade from this site sorted me it out nice one. Any way the battery light has come on again but the car has been stood for 3 weeks would the drain in the battery with the cold weather cause the light to come on. the car started first turn. it will be back up and running propley this sunday so will give it a good drive.

the battery light comes on because the charge is not being topped up properly. if the Smart Charge system has a bad wire, is not putting out enough voltage or amperage, then these can cause the light to come on, but it wouldnt come on as standard just because the battery is low on juice.
