I'm wanting to keep my next new car until it's unviable to keep any longer, before this my longest was just over 2 yrs I think

Well I've had my mk3.5 fiesta for nearly 3 years (first car), never intend on selling it - been tucked up in the garage for 7 months :D

Mine's nearly 5 years old, had it from new so that's the record for me.

I had my first car for 2.5 years, second car for 2.5 years, third car for 1 year, fourth car 1 year, and my fifth car is 1 year and still going...

I kept my first Fiesta just under 5 years, my second Fiesta just over 3 years and my current Fiesta just over 1 year so far. Wonder what my next car will be .

I had my Ford Sierra for 8 years and the Mk 1 Focus for 9. I like to get my money's-worth out of 'em!!

3-3.5 yrs, had the last 3 cars for about that amount of time. Before that average was around 18 months.

Classic Mini Cooper S (i.e. 1968 Mk2) as a daily driver for 14+ years.

Sadly the tin snakes (they were much larger than worm holes :)) got it in the end as it would have required a re-shell to save it.

my last car was 3years and only got this one in august but planning for 4years with this one last only would have kept it longer if it gave out better mpg to be honest

First car (Astra mk2) 9 months, second (Astra Mk3) 5 months, BMW E34 525 3 months, BMW E36 316i 3 years, Vauxhall Vectra B 5 months, BMW E36 318ti (compact) 2.5 years, Honda Accord 4 years. Had a Toyota MR2 alongside the 316i, lasted 3 months before engine ate itself, and Mondeo ST24 alongside the Honda, had for a year before I served it on as a issue-ridden heap. The Focus has been mine since September 2014.

First car was a Mk6 Escort, had it 8 years until I got my Mk2.5 Focus Zetec S, which I'll have had 2 years in May.

Having had the Escort for 8 years, I imagined if I got a good condition Focus it could easily last 10 years, so far so good!.

9 months

My last car a mk1.5 focus 2.0 zetec esp which fully loaded with a very high spec & was modded substantially. Owned for glorious 9 yrs. ( wish i still had it.& would buy it back now)

longest ive had a car is 3years and that was my Scooby wrx sti ltd 555 all the other about 2years and then I am board with them lol

I used to change cars so often my then insurer was convinced I was a trader and tried changing my insurance to a traders policy! Shortest I've kept a car is 40mins, longest 2yrs. Its very rare I MOT the same car twice.

Must have been some sort of German car....

It probably broke down, caught fire or he just got bored. They're that uninspiring!

Talk about boring and uninspiring.... The Mrs wanted to see 50 shades, so I took her, the character has a garage of just 6 audis...

That would be enough to turn you off!

The film did that job, not even the 18 rated scenes were enough to inspire interest...
