Do Ford's Have A Fuel Saving Mode When The Tank Is Low?

Featured Replies

I don't know if it is just my sub-conscious, but I'm sure that when my fuel light comes on, the car seems to go in to some sort of fuel saving mode.

So it doesn't give you so much power, at least not as quickly as it does once you have filled up.

Perhaps it is just me, and without consciously thinking I'm driving differently when low on fuel, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has thought the same?

I haven't noticed it but I always start driving in my own version of eco mode when I'm low on fuel lol. Let's hope Ford don't go too far because most of these cars know where every petrol station is, so it could start telling you to go fill up.

It might be me, doesn't feel overly dramatic, just like it is damping some of the throttle input a bit more than usual.

Like the car has decided to help squeeze every last drop out of the tank, then when you fill it up all that goes out the window, lol.
