Hi Guys

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on this one!

Basically I cant remove the antenna! Its stuck on there and I cant remove it by hand... the base moves a little and does not seem to hold tight enough to face the large amounts of resistance this probably needs! I am not aware of the MK4 mondeo having a locking aerial!

I suppose I have a few options on this one, none of which I am particularly fit enough for. I would love to run the car through a car wash (I know it sounds crazy and I am at this moment of plentiful medication!), and I would just like the aerial to detach :p

1) grip the aerial with a pair of locking pliers and keep going until it loosens

2) grip both the aerial and the base turning in opposing directions until it loosens.

neither of which I want to do particularly if its going to damage the parts.

3) give up, and remove the entire aerial out through the top of the car and replace it all...

I dont really want to throw money at it, but I am wondering if I have to!
