Clicking Noise Felt In Clutch When Wheel Locked Left Or Right

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a query. I own a Ford Fiesta Titanium 2011 1.6L TDCI Diesel. Recently, I have felt a clicking noise in the clutch, when it is pressed all the way down and the wheel is locked either left or right. I've had a friend look on the inner side of both front wheels and he has said that he cannot see anything unusual. I've read on another post that this is common in these cars, as it is the power steering locking into place or something like that.

I recently went over a mini roundabout, but as I went over it I heard a clunking noise (must have been the mini roundabout that hit off of the underside of the car). I've had a look myself and can't see any damage and the car still drives fine, I'm just slightly curious as to whether this has caused the clutch noise. I didn't hear it before, but I wasn't really paying attention for such a noise.

Could anyone enlighten me or put my mind at ease?

Cheers
