Hi All.....New to the Forum, thanks for having me LOL.

Just wanted your help on something, just bought a Focus mk2 2006 with the non DAB radio, and wanted to upgrade it to the 2.5 stereo. I know about the parts I need with regards to radio aerio lead extender and bracket from ford, however I was wondering if the connection on the back of the actuall stereos are the same, so i can just basically plug it in and it will work.

I know the Bluetooth wont work without a new wiring loom and control box but thats fine as i have just ordered a parrot kit. but will the 2.5 stereo plug in and play and will the steering controls still work the volume etc?

The quadlock connectors are exactly the same and all controls will work fine, one recommendation is to ensure the replacement radio is not from a Mondeo as there have been some reports of strange errors popping up due to compatability issues.

If you check out my guides link (under this post when viewed on a PC) you'll see guides for swapping a mk2 radio for a mk2.5 one and also for fitting a DAB one if you're ever interested in doing so.

That's very much for the quick reply ill let you know how I get on....don't suppose you know much about led lighting...I have the ligjts. ..just need to know what to wire them into in order to get them to come on when I turn the swith for my inter lights and headlights...thanks

Pin 16 on the back of the headlight switch.

(It's part of the number plate light circuit).
