Hi, I'm looking at purchasing diagnostic software for my own Mk1 R reg 99' n my sisters 54' reg mk2 galaxy. But I'm unsure about wot exactly I need or wot to avoid.

I've for a couple on eBay n I've posted item numbers. If you cld please advise me on wots gd n wots not.

    iirc its vag com software you need.or the relevant update thats out there at the moment.

    if you dont know?the port on the mk1 is under the ash tray,and on the mk2 is under the dash by your right knee.

    you havnt said if there petrol or tdi variants,if petrol then the software will only be able to do a small portion of dignostics as they are ford engines,if tdis then you should have no probs as there pretty much vw's.

    Thanx m8, they r both diesels. I've got a TDi 90hp diesel n the diag socket is behind the ashtray in the centre console.
