HI, hope someone can offer advice/help?

I have two remote keys, one was left as a spare and not used in a while and the other was used regularly. The battery was replaced in the working key and since then I have not been able to remote central lock.

I have tried the reprogramming guide of turning on and off in the ignition. I hear the chime after the 4th turn but when I press a button on the key fob, there is no chime.

Could it be something has dislodged inside the key when I changed the battery or will I have to bit the bullet and take it to a main dealer?

Many thanks for any advice.

    I suspect a microswitch has gone. You sure it's got a healthy battery in it?
