I purchased the ford extended warranty for up to 5 yrs, but I've not received any paperwork regarding this, is this right?

I was told it comes in the post - give it a week & then check with your dealer - I'm still waiting for mine too

I'm trying on the phone line to ford but typically, no answer lol

So I've also tried emailing them ( [email protected] ), and i straightaway got a reply saying they'd get back to me within 8 hours. I'm going to keep trying the protect telephone number though, as that's all I've got, and even that was off my own back, my dealership were less than helpful in that respect tbh

Well the plot thickens, I've now spoken to ford protect who told me I should've had the paperwork at paying, and they then inform me my car isn't covered under extended warranty - nothing has gone through their end! :o

So straight back on the phone to the dealership, who tell me their admin in redditch deal with their paperwork and they will duly chase them for me

Why can't things just be straight forward for me?

Did they sort it out yet? Just out of interest, how much did they charge for the extra 2 years warranty? It would be useful to know how the cost compares to a third party extended warranty, which I might get if I keep my car for more than 3 years.

It finally got sorted today, ford emailed me back again saying I should've received my paperwork there and then but not to worry as they'll post it all out to me together with my extended warranty certificate.

I phoned ford as well after receiving this email, and they said everything looks like it was pushed through yesterday by my dealer.

The extra 2 years are costing me £262 I think, their website says it needs to be arranged pre registration, which is what I did, but I've also heard on here I think that's a load of gumpth and you can take out fords extended warranty at anytime
