Glow Plugs

Featured Replies

hi everyone how easy is it to change glowplugs the man in europarts recons you have to be careful not to snap them. and when you do get them out how tight do you do them back up ?

First of all access to them will depend on what engine you have.

Yes he is correct about being careful not to snap them - applying a moderate amount of force to undo them without being brutal. If they do seem really well stuck it would be worth giving them a soak with something such as plusgas a few times beforehand.

Otherwise, leave them to someone with a special type of impact gun to remove them - it basically vibrates them like mad to brake the corrosion but applies very little turning force so it doesn't snap them.
