S-Max Radio Display Blank

Hi folks, just got in my 2010 S-Max this morning and noticed the radio display was blank. The radio can still be turned on and I'm getting audio, but there is no display and the CD doesn't seem to work. My initial thoughts were that it couldn't be fuse related, seeing as though the radio is partially working. Just thought I'd ask on these forums before I take it to a garage to be met with a sharp intake of breath and a large bill :)

Any help would be much appreciated

    if youve got radio code try disconnecting battery for a few minutes, reconnect and see if display come back.

    Sounds like a sh**** radio.

    Take it back to get the radio changed.

    From Ford a new radio is about £800.

    If they won't help you can get decent pre-owned for about £80+.
