I've Got Myself In A Dilema And Want Out

Featured Replies

As of now I've an 05 Corsa c 1.4, it's ok but nothing great as you'll know and want something a bit bigger ie focus Astra ect. This time a last yr I had a 1.6 mk1 focus I then got mk5 Astra 1.7 cdti as I wanted back to diesel, I had a few problems so got rid and now got the Corsa...it's to small

Someone said to try a fiesta 1.3/4 tdci or go back to a focus tdci but not sure what engine ie 1.6 ect ect then someone said to try the 05 Corsa 1.3 or 1.7 cdti. The corsa's ok inside (kinda) but I feel every !Removed! bump when driving is the fiesta any better. I know I probably should get a go in one as everyone's different

I know this a ford site but if it was it between a fiesta or Corsa with the same diesel engine what would it be.....or go for another focus tdci and be done with it

Having said that......the old tddi....any good?

Drive the Vauxhall into a wall. Make sure it is solid, as you do not want to be held liable for any vauxhall shaped marks on the wall.
If there aren't any walls nearby, drop it off a cliff.

I haven't a clue how the two compare according to the info you require. But I can give you the following info:

The Fiesta isn't !Removed!, the Vauxhall is.
You will get 1,000,000 more street cred, as it has the Ford logo on. The Vauxhall logo removes all dignity and instantly turns the owner into a mong.

All the cool people drive Fords, see the following on this owners club. The Vauxhall fans suffer erectile dysfunction, herpes and are 100% more likely to wee themselves.

Ditching a Vauxhall for a Ford results in better health, will save dolphins, end World Hunger, and after 5 years of being away from Vauxhall Ownership you will be almost as healthy as you were pre-Vauxhall.

Happy to help

Depends on your budget mainly, but the newer fiesta TDCis are exceptional

05-/+

Easily the fiesta 1.6 tdci for that, or even the 1.8 focus

Petrol or diesel 1.8

Whichever your mileage dictates. More than 12/14k and the diesel becomes worthwhile

I don't do enough for a diesel but like the low grunt/torque and cheaper tax

Petrol engines have come a long way - you should drive something with an Ecoboost engine in it.

Near diesel MPG, sounds much better (at higher revs), and quieter during normal driving. No DPF problems, and low tax too.

It's probably out my price hence looking at 05/6

Anything can go !Removed! up

I had the 09 corsa 1.4 design and only had 25k on the clock, had it 2 years. Petrol gauge kept playing up,read full and was close to empty. Clutch judder when you pull off from cold, this was bad. Wiper arms had to be done, when on went off the screen LOL,sealed unit they said.£350 there cost. And petrol m.p.g for a 1.4 was bad, lets say i have a 1.6 fiesta 2011 titanium and i can get the same or very close. I will leave it there as the forum would crash.

Go for the fiesta. It's less common looking than the corsa and GK nailed it lol

Get yourself into a Ford once you have the folding. I guarantee that your life will improve, women will want to be with you, men will want to be you.

Credit where it is due, your Corsa may be getting you from A to B, hell it might even be doing it without complaint. BUT it is plotting against you. One day, when you least expect it, you will be thinking 'Goodkat is a bit of a div, this Vauxhall hate is completely unfounded!' and BAM. Herpes. World Hunger. Dead dolphins. Corsa stabbing your wallet with pure malice aforethought.

Here is my advice. If you start peeing yourself without warning, or you can't get the ol' !Removed! up for sexy times, drive that hateful soul-less hell demon and bury it into a wall. I recommend using the ol' brick on the accelerator trick.

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT LET IT KNOW YOU ARE ONTO IT.

A comedy show, you say? Nah, I am just quoting from experience. I once owned a Mk3 Astra, and as I am a bit of a deviant, I had a Vectra too. my counsellor says I will be right as rain one day.

My second car was a cavalier back in 1984 I'm very nearly better now

I'd rather push my ford than drive a vauxhall. For the sake of staying on topic, mk2 focus tdci 1.8 would be my choice ;)

Typical insurance, always ready to pull your pants down where possible, shop for a new policy might save you a few ££?
