Inspiration/new Owner

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

As you have noticed I'm a new Ford owner, I have a White Ford Fiesta Zetec 2010 - 'mk7' (I think).

I'm just writing for any advice or guides of you that I can do to my car, I'm not very good with cars or have any great inspiration on what I could do but I just want to do little things to it to make it my own and change it a little.

I have heard of Gel overlays and cant seem to find any anywhere for my front and rear Ford badge :(

Another thing... (I have attached both of the images to this post) can I Change my original from bumper to the one I have attached or are there different sizes for this?

And again... if any one has any ideas/websites I can use or little changes I can make to my car I would much appreciate it.

thankss ^_^

Hi and welcome :)

You're right it is a MK7 although Ford don't use those numbers, they just use the year of the car (all owners clubs use the MK numbers though). I think those bumpers should fit, they look like MK7 bumpers anyway. I haven't bought any gel overlays myself but I'm sure someone else will be able to help you find some.

Other small mods most people start with are changing bulbs, and here's a useful thread on the subject: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/40923-fiesta-bulbs-list/

It looks like the car won't have a warranty, at least not an original Ford warranty, so maybe you won't have to worry about mods affecting that (unless you have a warranty from a dealer). So you could think about some simple engine mods, for example you could add a stainless steel exhaust which shouldn't affect your insurance much. That's what I'm planning to do soon.

Hi and welcome,

I you need any help with insurance for modifications then please feel free to drop me a line.

Regards,

Dan.
