Lights On Ford Fiesta Zetec 2014

Hi

I've purchased a Ford Fiesta Zetec 2014 model a few months ago and every time I switch the ignition on, my front and back side lights come on as well.

After reading the manual I thought the lights were the auto lamps which would come on in low light however mine come on even in broad daylight!

This is fine in the winter when it is a bit dull but now that we have had some sun I am beginning to feel silly driving about in broad daylight with my lights on!

Firstly, are they the auto lamps and secondly how do I switch them off?

If they are not the auto lamps what are they and why do they keep coming on?

Hopefully someone can help.

Ah, that sounds better than my idea of auto lamps!

Is there any way to turn them off or do they have to be all the time?

I've now read they are fitting them to all newer cars but not sure if is just Europe or the UK?

Thanks for your help.

Ok, thanks for your reply.

At least I can stop finding a solution now!

Thanks again.

I thought that DRLs are only at the front, and with it being a Zetec it probably doesn't have auto lights (which would cause front and rear lights to come on). Sorry if I'm just adding more confusion haha.

Hi, thanks for the reply. It was actually only my front lights that were coming on so it looks as though it is the DRL's. Thanks anyway!
