Fiesta Mirror Replaceable Parts!?

Featured Replies

So someone smashed my wing mirror and I'm going to fix it.

I've managed to find a company that sell the clear indicator strip and the mirror unit cover.

However when i try to locate the bit of black plastic that sits in between the glass and the cover i cannot find it anywhere.

Upon speaking to a person that works for a wing mirror sales company they advised me that no-one sells this part.

Apparently due to some copyright issues it can't even be manufactured as aftermarket.

You can however purchase a whole aftermarket mirror unit which includes this part (kind of, [the fittings are different inside the AM unit so the part cannot be put into existing OEM unit])

Can someone can confirm that this is true or advise me of how to obtain the part?

including the name of it/part no.

Thank you!

this is a picture of it - the part with the sticky label on it.

I believe that is true yes

Have a look at some breakers yards

Have a look on the web and get an aftermarket mirror assembly - the part you need isn't available as a part on it's own as already said, and if it was you'd probably find it as expensive as buying a whole aftermarket mirror assembly.

If you were able to buy a busted mirror second hand to get the part I think you'd struggle stripping it out of 1 mirror and fitting it into yours.

Sites like this are really handy for understanding which parts are available individually from Ford dealers or only as full assemblies
