Mondeo Possible Turbo Issues

Featured Replies

Hi All

I have a 2007 Mondeo 2.2 ST TDCI Estate whilst driving home from work yesterday I experienced a loss of power almost as if the car had gone into limp mode no lights were showing up on the instrument display at all, I had virtually no acceleration, I stopped at a service station & turned the engine off for about 5 mins when restarted everything was ok & the car performed as normal.

I popped out in the car again about 2 hours later again everything seemed to be ok but I did notice a whistling noise coming from the engine everytime I accelerated & changed up gear.

Has anyone any idea's on what this whistling noise is when accelerating & changing up gear, thankyou in advance

Duane :)

it sounds like you could have a split turbo hose check for signs of damage on all of the hoses, also check the intercooler hose, this is the large hose on the bottom og the egr valve.

Thankyou :)

That actually does make sense that it could be a split hose will have a good check round
