Gearbox/clutch Issues 2002 Transit Durashift

Featured Replies

My brother's usually reliable 02 plate 2.3L Transit has started playing up with lots of fault lights coming on from the Transmission control panel when you try to start it etc. Sometimes it'll get going and driving but not always.

It's the Durashift (auto shifting manual) version and unfortunately I can't read fault codes off it in the usual way as it's not OBD2 compatible. Could be that the clutch is on it's way out but he can't be certain about that.

Any suggestions on any specialists in the NW who would be more likely to know what they're looking at without him biting the bullet having to go to a main dealer?

Thanks in advance

hmmm, sounds an odd one, but surely it supports OBD I? if so, an F-Super cable should read it!
