JammyBadge
I'm having a problem with my 07 S-Max 1.8 Diesel losing water. Ford has given my coolant tank a pressure test to see if I had any leaks, which has passed the test, so they recommend I changed the coolant tank incase it had shrunk and the cap and it wasn't fitting properly. I have only had this done yesterday and on my way to work I noticed the temp starting to climb, when the car had cooled I checked the level to see it was almost empty once AGAIN!! Please can someone help!!
jeebowhite
im confused why they said you need to change the tank if it passed the test :| Anyway, if its leaking are you sure its leaking from there? An easy way to test this, is to go buy some large transparent bags (sandwhich bags or similar, even a recycling bag. top up the coolant, and then put the bag over the reservoir and tie it off. Now, if there is any leaks in this system you should find you have a large amount of condensation in the bag. Otherwise, I would be looking at the thermostat
