Bonnet Release Latch Mk4 Mondeo Tdci

Featured Replies

Cable has snapped with bonnet closed. Has anyone tried to access the lock from under the car? I have what could be an intercooler or air intake hose obscuring the lock. Can't find out for sure what is does or if can be removed. Haynes manual no good Ford Service Dealer unhelpful. TSB regarding this problem sent out by FMC in 2010. My car is a 2009 2.2.

Any help much appreciated as first time on this forum

if there is a TSB they should be dealing with it as a recall!

Otherwise, you would need to get under the car and find the cable and manually tug it. Depending on where it has snapped.

I managed to find and download the TSB, will see if any local Ford dealer is sympathetic. This came out in 2010 so not much hope.

It should have been addressed already but if not you might find a sympathetic dealer somewhere
