hi everyone,

i hit a poxy pheasant and have damaged the splitter but went to get an estimate and the estimator reckons the splitter doesnt come off the bumper. Is this true or am i being fobbed off?

They're stuck on with something like Tigerseal which is a git to remove.

P.s I see the cat is looking for leftovers?

It's definitely a separate piece, that's the problem with the Zetec S, everything is stuck on top (and looks it).

so that means i'll have to have a new bumper then? i dont think the damaged could be repaired either so sounds like only option haha my cat simba, didnt even realise he was under there until i took the photo haha

It would take a strong heat gun to heat up whatever it is sticking it on, I would assume a few bolts too.

Gonna need a paint job, they seem to be primed parts only, you might get lucky on eBay though.

Could try a cheap fix with some filler and a spray can, might keep it together until you get a proper fix.
