Hi I'm interested in buying a ford S-Max most of them I can see are Diesel but I only drive locally I do drive long distances some times but not on a day to day basis will this really matter to the cars proframce?

Also most of them have over 100k miles, I'm a little bit put off by this is it that big of a deal for a Diesel car?

At 100k it's just about run in, :) a properly maintained & serviced diesel engine will outlast it's petrol equivalent easily, BUT, diesels don't benefit from constant , or frequent short journeys.

Not seen many petrol ones, my price range is about 5k only miles I've seen for that price range is over 100k

had mine about 3-4 years now,as i drove it home it clocked up 100k.

i too dont do many miles or distances,but it will hold its price better then a petrol as no doubt you have seen.

Think I've been assured that 100k on a diesel is nothing as long as it's been well looked after,just wasn't sure on the short distance journeys did not know if it would nacker the engine up

just drive it like you stole it every week or so.
