S Max 2.0 Tdi Titanium Climate Control Module Problem

Featured Replies

Hi all, new here, I have an s max 2007 with a climate control problem. The fault was with the car when purchased. The problem is the display is dead (no illumination) and no functions. When the unit is replaced, with battery disconnected, it will work once when battery connected and car started (fully functional), but when ignition is switched off and then on again the module is dead again. This has happened with 2 replacement modules, so I now have 3 that do not work. Any help of advice would be much appreciated, many thanks.

UPDATE: all the modules work on a 2006 smax so they are not being blown or damaged, just shut down by the system I think. I have tried changing the main ecu with the 2006 model and the heater module then works ok all functions, but of course the 2007 car wont run due I think to different software. So then purchased another 2007 main ecu which also would not run the car, and the heater module worked once only then shut down again when ignition off then on. So is there anyone out there who can shed some light on the problem? Does the heater module need re-programming to the car? Is there a wiring fault causing the heater module to shut down?

I have iDCS kit but not for module programming. Many thanks.
