what is the differace between the two engines and how will i know which one i am buying please is there any engine codes which can point me in the right direction and which engine is better many thanks

    tdi's are vw and pd.with the engines needing specific oil,they have different coloured rear tdi badges giving you the info on engine size well they should do unless some berk has changed it.

    2ltr and 2.3 ltr are fords very own.

    mk1 tdi iirc started at 90bhp going upwards cant remember whether these were pd engines?

    mk2 started at 115bhp going upto iirc 150bhp.

    then theres the so called animal,vw sharan v6 200+bhp.but iirc you need a petrol tanker to follow you.
