Choosing A New Ford

Featured Replies

I'm going to sell my 2009 1.4 petrol fiesta titanium next year or part ex it .

I want a more powerful car , five doors and it has to be titanium and I'd really love in built sat nav so I don't have to use my phone on a holder.

I'm thinking of a 2.0 focus titanium . If I was to choose one without the sat nav upgrade how easy is it to get done and what's the cost ?

Also. Is there a massive difference between the 1.6 focus and the 2.0 it seems a decent bit of horse power .cheers.

I assume you are looking at the Mk2.5 Focus?

From everything I have read, the 1.6 is pretty gutless.

Have you considered the Mk3, so you can get an ecoboost?

2012 model. 2.0 diesel titanium is what I'm looking at . I would prefer that over the 1.6 surely . Anyone know anything about the sat nav situation?

Why do you want a diesel? What kind of mileage do you do?

Have a look at the 1.0T and 1.6T petrol Ecoboost engines if you want a bit more poke.

Ah, didn't realise you meant diesel.

1.6 is more frugal, 2.0 has a massive amount of torque and the engine now in the ST TDCi, to give you a clue, lol.

Best bet is to drive them both and see what you prefer.

Make sure you are doing the mileage/journeys to justify a diesel though, or you could have DPF problems.

Retro-fit sat nav would be a LOT of work, more than it is worth imo. Better to spend a bit more on one with it, or just get a separate one.

My budget is around £8000.

Therefore I can only afford say a 2012 focus either a 1.6 or a 2.0. The reason I want the 2.0 disel is cheaper to run and it offers more BHP.

There is a few around with built in sat navs so it is possible .

At the minute I am scrambling around with my phone on a mount and it pees me off.

How do you know it's cheaper to run? It depends on your annual mileage and daily journeys. If they're short the petrol will work out cheaper.
