Just to let the forum know I've been using Spider Tuning Boxes for awhile and i have a Spider Poerformance Pack on My Alfa Romeo Giulietta (105bhp > 140+bhp) and the less powerful Spider Box on my Ford Fiesta ecoboost 125 (125bhp > 150+bhp) I love them and wrote a review on their performance increases and they really make a difference.

They have also let me know that there is a whole new improved site comming the 1st July, with more cars and versions being advertised so you should be able to find your exact car version, with simpler functionality which allows you just to select your car and it will give you all the different optional tuning boxes available for your car including a new Bluetooth Performance Pack which works with an app on your android. I don't know the prices yet but sounds really good.

Just so you know, any of the tuning boxes on their site work on any car and engine (this is why they are all the same price what ever car/engine/fuel type you choose) it just needs the correct connecting hanress/cable for your engine. Even though its the same box, they adjust for your engine when you connect it and leave it running on idle for 3 minutes at the factory settings and then it's recommend to drive the first 30 miles not going over 3000rpm (4000rpm max) and you feel the box learning the engine and you should feel the extra power show up as you get close to the 30 mile run in. After that you can set it to any setting you wish and enjoy the extra power :D

Just an update on the Bluetooth device which as I thought doesn't add any performance gains over the normal Performance Pack but instead just gives you another method of changing the settings, but this time without having to lift the bonnet and manually change it. You can change it on the fly using your mobile app and a gives a few more manual adjustments.

You can set the multiple settings from eco mode all the way up to race mode at the touch of a button, you can then leave it in adaptive mode which works how it always has working out when and how much power to deliver, or you can turn adaptive off and you decide exactly how much power you want and when. Also you can set a time delay T0-T90 0 - 90 seconds which is like a warm up timer before full tuning is given after engine start up. Obviously leaving it in adaptive is likely best for engine life in the long run as it won't give all the extra power and boost if the engine isn't ready for it but it does allow you to overwrite all this if you want.

There is also now a preboost setting which Spider said basically gives the map a boost of torque earlier down the range for quicker starts but still maintains a wide power band, so basically it's like a temporary overboost from what you normally get before the power normally kicks in. I'm seriously thinking about getting a third box now and getting this baby on the Fiesta instead of the older spider box.

Yeah, It does give some great prices for products to treat yourself and your car and hopefully it allows alot more ford owners who would usually not look at (or be able to afford) any performance upgrades a real quick and simple way of getting more out of their car :D

A number of Focus users have got a few performance packs and are starting to enjoy them, hopefully more people can enjoy this too.
