Hey all,

I've been reading a few of the forum pages on here because I'm going to buy a Focus 2.0 TDCi 60 plate this Saturday and was firstly in need of common faults to look out for when I viewed the car, but now that I've seen the car and test driven it I've now been looking at possible upgrades.

This place seems full of really useful information and great, helpful people so I decided to join, of course only for one of those cute FOC stickers :P

Hopefully when I pick up the new car I will mainly be talking to you lot about upgrades and mods than fixes and faults :)

The Club cannot, and will not be held liable for any drainage of your life savings on modifications to your car.

Now that's out of the way, hello & welcome :D

The Focus is a car that is very easy to tastefully mod - do it right and you'll get a nod of approval from enthusiasts, but regular Joe Public won't have a scoobies!!

My personal list so far:

Parking sensors (£13, ebay)
DRL's (Lenny - if you read his Focus build thread then hide your debit and credit cards lol)

Towbar (another ebay bargain lol)
Roof Bars (bought from a chap on here - absolute bargain, really useful)
Brodit mount (not cheap, but definitely worth it!! www.drivesafeandlegal.co.uk is the cheapest genuine supplier I've found so far)

Improved boot lighting (couple of cheap LED pads stuck under the trim panels and plugged into the old light socket)

Footwell lighting (same cheap LED pads - plug and go on some cars)

I'm thinking of a few other little things...but we shall see lol

hi and welcome good luck on the mods

Cheers all. I've now got to save up some money before I can afford to start modding.

Anyone know any great ways of spending money on the car without the other half knowing how much you've spent? :P
