Unfortunately they are no use as those error codes are cluster codes, you need a property code reader. I would say you should follow the guidance in my error on tour car thread to pick a code reader for better results.

So basically if I buy a code reader it will tell me more accurately if it is the fuel sender unit that needs replacing ?

It will help a lot more in diagnosing the issue. The error codes from the instrument cluster isn't always accurate, a code reader will help give more accurate. If you use forscan and an modded obd cable you can view all sorts of details and resistances etc,rather than just N overall error code you can drill down a fair amount.

there are some lets say cheap code readers that can do the trick. i just bought one for less than 30 pounds and it could read most vehicles. It is the second i did buy in fact and the first one i had did give good service and i did resolve most problems.

Yeah I initially used a Bluetooth code reader and it did good, but for Ford specific I prefer the obd forscan combo. But your absolutely right, you can get universal devices that access everything Barr the airbags pretty much for relatively little money.
