Most likely a stupid question but do you need to inform your Insurance company if your alloys have been refurbished and changed colour?

    Yes

    Everything you change that cannot be taken off needs to be advised. In the event in a crash they would use even things like alloy colour to leave you out of cover.

    Its ridiculous really as when you fit standard aftermarket parts such as brakes, tyres, suspension, filters etc then they are not original equipment and yet you dont declare those. I hate insurers!
