I have a 1999 focus 1.8tddi 5 door and was wondering how I enable/disable the front airbag?

    software i wold assume or a switch somewhere like in the glove box,do you mean the front passenger air bag?

    i would hope your not think of disengaging the drivers air bag?

    On the mk2 and later you had the option of fitting a front passenger airbag deactivation switch in the glovebox (so you could have a carry cot or small children in the front seat) and adding a warning light on the window heater panel.

    You needed to sign a disclaimer with Ford before they activated it though.

    I'm not sure if the mk1 Focus ever had this option though.
