new motor coming in September. just wondering what mpg I should expect with progressive driving from a petrol 1.5 turbo 150bhp thanks

Welcome to the site! I get 36mpg with a good few little blasts from my 1.6 ecoboost.

sounds more like it, did you know if the 1.5 was leaner? seems quite difficult to find any realistic figures. i was only getting 30 from the st so going the right way

From what I hear it is a very similar engine to my 1.6 182 ps and I am getting 37mpg around city and 41 on longer journeys.

I do like put my foot down too, so I'm amazed at the increase in economy and fun!

I understand about the need for comfort... My last Mk7 Fiesta ZS was a real bone shaker on pot holes where as my new Focus ZS seems to float over them, with speedbumps being much easier too.

Which ST model did you have?

PS, I was previously getting about 32 mpg on the old fiesta 1.6 (120ps) with the same driving style.

it was a st3 estate, !Removed! quick, but every time you drove it you had to drive it hard, and comfort was ok for the driver, not so for the wife, I guess she could have walked? but zs turned up today, so far so good happy days even though it was 3 weeks late

you cant compare the 2 really. The st did move, its still only been a week with zs but comfort is better mpg so far is 20% improved. now the wife got over the fact I hadn't told her I was changing the car, she is much happier and loves the zs
