Hi!

I need to buy a rear mounted bike carrier to carry 3 bikes for my Smax. Have spent ages looking online and can't seem to find any that are compatible,

Has anyone got one that fits and that they would recommend?

    Have you tried the "saris" website? They have plenty of 3 x bike racks and the online tool to check your car is good/easy.

    There racks are good quality, solid but little pricey.

    If you find one that fits make note of model number and search ebay.

    I'm pretty sure that it's due to the glass in the bootlid. The concern is that the glass could break under the strain.

    There has been lots of talk over the compatibility, most say yes others say no but for short burst use and as long as it's protection Ted against he glass, short and infrequent use seems to be OK.

    That and properly secured!! Don't want anything vibrating or knocking into the glass.

    Another option would be towbar mounted. Advantage of having the towbar is that you can plug a lightboard in should you need it (depends on the rack design)

    We had this issue when we had the vectra before upgrading to the Smax, do you have a tow bar? we got a Thule carrier for 3 bikes that goes on the tow bar,

    Just need to have the towbar fitted on the s-max now
