Battery Wire To Stereo Blown, Where's The Fuse

Featured Replies

I installed a new car stereo last week into my Ford C Max & stupidly managed to allow the yellow car battery (memory) to metal & caused a spark!

Prior to this the stereo was fine & there was low power coming through this yellow lead, now it reads 0 on the volt meter at all times. I have gone back under the dashboard as far as I can until I reached a big power block which I wasn't going to interfere with.

Can anyone advise me what fuse would be covered by the battery memory wire as I have looked through the manual & checked loads that I thought may be relevant but no luck?

In the event I have actually burnt out the wires under the dashboard then my 2nd option is to run a wire directly from the battery to the car stereo, having looked all around I can't see any natural holes to push a wire through, does anyone know of any or is it a case of having to drill one?

Appreciate any help. Thanks.

should be a battery in the fusebox under the glovebox.

I did this a couple of times in my CMAX and I also blew the Mondeo fuse only a week ago lol
