I want to buy a USB cable so I can charge my phone in the car. I am not very technical so I don't know what type of connector I need for my phone which is a Samsung model GT-S5830i. I think it is either a Mini USB or a Micro USB, but I could be wrong. If anyone can advise me I would be grateful.

I'm guessing its a Mini USB not a Micro

The second USB socket is great for powering satnav, in car WiFi router or charging phone

Its been done on a 2010 Mk2.5 Ford Focus however the principles are the same on every motor; piggy back fuse in to an ignition live feed.

Fits under your existing cup holder or anywhere you like to fit it, just sit the phone close to it for charging :)

Your phone uses a micro usb.

They are standard on all modern phones now (apart from Apple as they're just plain obstinate and refuse to conform).

most shell stations sell an all in one charger - a charger with a nokia, iphone, micro and mini USB along with a sony errikson head.

Handy to have in the glovebox!

Apart from some of the basic work phones my colleagues use, I love the fact that most phones now are mini usb charge points (apart from Crapple).

Does my Mondeo titanium x 2008 have a USB port? I can't seem to find one.

Could be in the front armrest ?

My USB is in the base part of the front armrest - but that's a 2014 Mondeo
