hey guys

I recently bought a fiesta mk6 ST 2007 with 66000 miles on the clock. took it for a test drive and everything was fine. now I have noticed there is a knocking noise. it knocks when I first start the car then stops, it is quiet between idle and about 3000rpm but loud after 3000rpm. when I accelerate it stops until it get up to speed then comes back. it also stops when I let go of the accelerator until it gets to the correct speed then comes back.

can anybody help? hoping its something simple like a cam follower/tappet.
