Ford Mondeo - Titanium 2009 Tdci 2.2

Featured Replies

Hi All

Have just picked up a Ford Mondeo, 3 owners, 84k on the clock.

Had a sparse service history, for the first 50k it was Ford serviced, then last 2 owners, it was serviced 3 more times at 12k intervals. Alas the service booklet was lost on last sale, so I have to dig up the history.

So have bought 1 years warranty for mechanical breakdown, just to cover myself from the dealer.

Anything else I should be looking out for on the 2.2l TDCi?

Has the dealer MOT and service this Friday for free, so will get them to fix anything that you guys bring up on this post.

LOVE Fords, this now joins the Fiesta we have!

Same as mine exept mines a 2006. The usual DMF failure, EGR valve, fuel pump, injectors, have the crankshaft pulley checked & also the auxiliary belt tensioner and idler pulleys are known to fail.

Other than that enjoy it, same engine as the ST - 155bhp.

I thought the early 2.2 MK 4's were 175 bhp ? & a completely different engine from the 2.2 155bhp in MK3 ST's ?

Yep , different engine, 2007 on use peugeot engine.

It is yes, i was referring to the engine in my titanium, sorry for the confusion!
