Has anyone suffered the smell of fumes in the cabin at random?

The problem started out when I reversed the car. I have a habit of reversing into parking spaces or onto my driveway and always got the smell of fumes which I put down to driving into the exhaust fumes. I never got this with any other car mind.

Now it's random and so can be in slow traffic, on the motorway or any other driving style but just random.

It came back this weekend as is driving me mad as well as giving me headaches.

I've tried fuel treatments and different fuels but nothing seems to fix it.

Any help would be appreciated.
